Where we work

Pioneer Projects (PP) is based in the rural community of High Bentham – a small agricultural market town on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and Trough of Bowland close to the borders of Lancashire and Cumbria. We are based in a renovated former warehouse which was specifically designed to house creative and arts activities to promote and sustain health and well-being.

Looking Well Studios act as the main base for our range of programmes and also provides spaces for people and organisations working in creative industries community health, education and training. As a result of the diverse range of use, Looking Well Studios is a vibrant community hub.

Pioneer Projects operates primarily in the local authority district of Craven in North Yorkshire and draws most of its participants from the highly rural catchment area around Looking Well Studios. We are increasing our work regionally, and into the North West of England, improving access to our work by making use of other spaces and community settings to deliver a range of outreach projects and programmes.
