Creative Arts for Dementia

We offer training workshops for individuals and organisations who support people living with dementia or who are planning to offer specific programmes for people living with dementia.

Through creative expression we share ourselves and connect with others. Through creative expression we are able to open avenues for meaningful self expression. The arts can dramatically improve the quality of life that remains and the quality of care giving relationships.

The workshops are interactive and participatory, using discussion, input, case studies, film, examples of good practice and research. All sessions include ‘learning through doing’ – practical creative sessions may involve exploring the role of movement and music, the visual arts and storytelling.
