Community Arts
Our Community Arts programme offers an inspiring menu of creative opportunities to everyone regardless of age, background, health, or personal characteristic
Our inspirational programme of creative sessions, groups, projects, and person-centred support aims to transform the lives of local people including some of Craven’s most marginalised communities. That includes those experiencing poor mental health, people living with dementia, and the many people, young and old, impacted by rural isolation, lack of accessible services, and poor public transport.
We believe that everyone is creative, and that engaging in creative activity improves health and wellbeing, brings people together, gives them purpose, helps them develop new skills, relate to the world around them, and contribute to inclusive, resilient, vibrant, and connected communities. Whilst fully independent, we work closely with fellow Creative Health organisation Orb Community Arts in Knaresborough, and a growing network of cultural, health, local authority, and community partners, to ensure that the benefits of Creative Health are open to all, not just in Craven, but across North Yorkshire and beyond.
”Pioneer projects has been a life saver for me this year and I’d like to say a big thank you to you guys for helping and supporting not only myself, but so many other people in our area
