Pathways

Creatively exploring the local environment, shared ownership, and our sense of belonging, Pathways is a collaboration between Pioneer Projects and sister Creative Health organisation Orb Community Arts. Whether rediscovering lost rights of way around Bentham, or seeking inspiration in Knaresborough Forest Park, groups from both communities use the world around them as a source of inspiration for a range of creative responses using art, craft, photography, song, and the written word. Visits to each other’s venues and on joint day trips give both communities the opportunity to share their work and create new work together, helping build creative bridges between communities. The project is supported by a range of cultural partners including the North Yorkshire Council Records Office, the Yorkshire Dales National Park, and Skipton Town Hall Museum & Gallery. Some of this work is captured here on the Pathways blog.
