“Lots of people have mental health problems but everyone is lucky and has a Pioneer Projects”
“Having been disabled for a long time my thinking and activities had become limiting to me. Coming to Pioneer Projects has expanded my thinking and therefore my world”
“I like teamwork. It is not just about individuals, when we do a project it is about everybody…It is a very relaxed and casual atmosphere… There is no pressure hear.”
“Pioneer projects has been a life saver for me this year and I’d like to say a big thank you to you guys for helping and supporting not only myself, but so many other people in our area”
“It’s the highlight of the week. The memory loss group has made such a difference to mum’s life. The bit of spark that’s left of my mum is gone on the weeks it’s not on. She will be alive with that spark when I pick her up. Even the carer’s say it’s a big buzz that Monday is coming up. If this group did not happen mum would just be at home.”
“I had a really good time yesterday at the group, I met lovely people who seemed to have had similar issues to myself, I felt safe and looked after”
“The session on a Thursday has been brilliant (it has grown a lot which shows how valuable it is) It has given me the support I needed to get myself back and doing things. I’ve lots of projects on the go now and have lots of skills to do this. I’m more confident in myself, I’ll never forget the lead artist giving me the confidence to put pen to paper and not to worry about the outcome. It has also put me in touch with so many people that I have met in the group, and I would like to say a big THANKYOU to everybody. The support level is phenomenal and has helped me to feel confident and get back on track”
